General Information
Health Diagnostics and Research Institute (HDRI) is a CAP-accredited, CLIA-registered, and New Jersey-licensed diagnostic and research laboratory offering a repertoire of specialty analyses to serve the mainstream, alternative, and preventive medical community.
Founded in 1984 in New Jersey under the name Vitamin Diagnostics, the laboratory originally performed analyses of vitamins in blood. After its acquisition in 1995 by the Netherlands-based European Laboratory of Nutrients (ELN), the laboratory expanded its repertoire to include determinations of amino acids and minerals in blood and urine, hormones, fatty acids, various anti-oxidants and toxic chemicals and much more to assist physicians and other health professionals in preventing, diagnosing, and treating a diversity of neurological, endocrinological, nutritional, and metabolic disorders (such as hypertension, depression, heart disease, allergy, chronic infections, arthritis, autoimmunity, autism, hyperactivity, chronic fatigue, Lyme disease, and cancer).
To do justice to its growth and reflect its expanding focus, the laboratory relocated in 2010 to a more modern facility, the South Amboy Medical Center, now called The Metropolitan Surgical Institute, at 540 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy, NJ. In addition, Vitamin Diagnostics changed its name in July 2010 to Health Diagnostics and Research Institute.
Methylation Pathway Panel, Nagalase test, Whole Blood Histamine, Kryptopyrrole, Urinary Thyroid Function T3/T4, Platelet Catecholamines, Fat and Water soluble Vitamins content and Mineral content are only a part of relevant tests of HDRI.
